'Testing will continue to play a crucial role,' OraSure CEO says as firm seeks FDA authorization for COVID-19 rapid test
A new rapid self-test has been developed by OraSure Technologies Inc. The test will require you to only swab your lower nostrils. You will then receive test results in a shorter amount of time. Though they are still waiting on approval from the FDA. The hope is for the test to be authorized for both prescription and professional use. Prescription use meaning consumers can take the test at home. Drive-thru sites, doctors offices, and public health sites will be administering it for professional use.
