FDA Authorizes Johnson & Johnson's One-Shot COVID-19 Vaccine
The FDA has recently authorized Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot vaccine to be administered. This will help with availability and demand across the U.S., as more and more people are becoming eligible and not enough vaccines are being produced in time. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine was tested on about 40,000 people. Although overall, it was only 66% in preventing a moderate to severe case of COVID-19, in severe cases, its effectiveness is at about 85%.
