Biden bans most travel to U.S. from India to limit COVID-19 spread
President Joe Biden has put a travel ban in place from India to the U.S. The travel ban started on Tuesday May 4th. COVID cases are currently surging in India and the country's COVID cases account for a third of global cases. The travel ban restricts non-U.S. citizens from entering the country if they have been there within the past 14 days. For over a week now, India has been reporting over 300,000 new cases daily. The U.S. has sent over $100 million in aid to help India's massive surge.
