Young adults hardest hit by loneliness during pandemic, study finds
Older teens and young adults are more prone to being affected by the loneliness and social isolation that we’ve all been experiencing the past year. In a study conducted on 950 Americans, 36 percent of those reported that they were feeling lonely frequently or all the time. 61 percent of those people were aged between 18 and 25 years old. On top of this, young adults are forced to make sacrifices or difficult decisions based on the circumstances they face in the remote world whether it’s regarding their jobs, education, or even relationships. Many of these young adults are facing anxiety and depression due to the uncertainty of their futures.
